Coverage and freight modes
Ask whether the proposed service covers your origin and final receiving address, including inland legs. Confirm whether sea, air or road freight is appropriate for the shipment dimensions, handling requirements and delivery window. A destination port is not the same as delivery to your warehouse.
Customs responsibilities
Identify who will review documents, submit the declaration where required, communicate inspection requests and confirm release. Ask for the responsible contact and the scope included in the quote. Clear handovers matter whether those tasks are performed within one operation or across several service stages.
